24 Hours of Business

A day in the life of the Business Examiner

The Business Examiner is highlighting business activity or commerce of some sort during each hour of the day beginning in the Jan. 22nd edition.

We hope to shutter and click through all hours of the day sequentially in each edition of 2007 and then pull all these images together in a single collection at the end of the year. Granted, the images won't represent images taken during the same day, but they will illustrate the breathe and depth of our South Sound economy.

This is where you enter the effort.

Not only do we need your photo suggestions, but we need your photos and digital images. Think about it for a minute.

What pictures would illustrate your business or industry? Certainly there are enough closet photographers in local board rooms, executive offices, cubicle farms and production lines to gather 24 images of businesses in the South Sound.

We want to highlight not only that talent, but the diversity of businesses within our community through this project.

You will get full credit as the creative photographer. So get out and get shooting.

  • Images should be jpegs and be able to be sized to 10 by 14 inches at 200 dots per inch (dpi). In plain English, that equates to a six megapixel image at the camera's highest setting. That means about a two megabyte file.

  • Please don't send images from your camera phone; those never work out.

It would be best to e-mail images one at a time to sdunkel@businessexaminer.com. Make sure to include photographer credit information and the time your photo was taken, as well as a few sentences about who is in the photograph, what business they represent and what commerce is taking place in the image.

Let the shooting begin.
