Nonresidential construction spending up

The U.S. Census Bureau released a report today that shows nonresidential construction continuing to improve for the second consecutive month. It has risen to $570.6 billion on a seasonally adjusted, annualized basis.

Nat’l report: Residential sales up in April

Sales of new single-family houses in April 2014 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 433,000, according to estimates released jointly today by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is 6.4 percent above the revised March rate of 407,000.
