Puyallup Tribe links to UW Tacoma

University of Washington Tacoma today announced a four-year collaboration with the Puyallup Tribe of Indians to bring Native ways of learning, teaching and research. A $275,000 grant from the Tribe will provide funding for the program.

Review of 2013 retail sales reported to tax authorities shows Tacoma the third-largest consumer marketplace in Washington, behind only Seattle and Bellevue. Puyallup is the only other South Sound market in the Top 10.
