Tom Hornburg, chief information officer for Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics, has been named Employee of the Month for April. He has worked for MGH&FC since 2007 and helped MGH achieve the nation’s “Most Wired Rural Hospital” status for 2008. Since then, MGH&FC has gone on to win the award, renamed "Most Wired Hospital," for four consecutive years.

Love Funding secures $11.4M loan refinancing for Puyallup complex

Love Funding, a provider of FHA multifamily and healthcare financing, announced the closing of an $11.4 million loan refinancing for Willow Springs Apartments, a 154-unit market-rate apartment community in Puyallup. Love Funding Director Artin Anvar of the Washington office secured the financing through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s 223(f) loan program, which allows for the purchase or refinancing of existing multifamily rental housing.

Man charged with stealing nearly $107K from Medicaid

A Thurston County Superior Court judge has issued an arrest warrant for the owner of medical supply company accused of Medicaid fraud. The warrant was requested so that the defendant can be arrested should he return to the United States.

Forza Coffee in South Hill to become Volcano Coffee

On May 1, Forza Coffee at 9909 168th St East in South Hill will become Volcano Coffee. After 5 years, owners Casey and Kyla Heyer have decided to forego a new franchise agreement with Forza Coffee Co. and did not renew their contract. "Becoming independent will allow (us) to creatively build an exciting brand," Casey said.
