Logistic center plans still in the air

Thurston County residents have urged local official to rezone property targeted for potential use as a logistics center for Ports of Olympia and Tacoma. As opposition mounts, Port of Tacoma officials have indicated that the 745-site in Maytown, near Olympia, is one of several options being explored under an inter-local agreement between the two ports. At this point, however, port officials don't even seem sure that a logistics center is the best solution to increasing demand being placed on cargo pipelines through the South Sound.
