Ice cream pioneer dies at age 90

Tacoma-raised Irvine Robbins always had a passion for the dairy dessert that could be concocted to form a variety of flavors to please just about any palette - from Love Potion No. 31 to Rum Raisin, Baseball Nut to Creole Cream Cheese, Oregon Blackberry to Cotton Candy.

Robbins died Monday in California. He was 90.
