Local airport towers will not close Sunday

Local airport control towers at Olympia and Tacoma Narrows airports will not be closing this weekend as expected. Instead, they will continue to operate until June 15th at least.

State of the Community in Thurston Co.

Representatives from Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, Yelm and Thurston County will collectively present a "State of the Community" address at the Jan. 9 Thurston County Chamber forum. The address, set for 11:30 a.m. at the Norman Worthington Conference Center at Saint Martin's University, is an annual presentation from community leaders on their perspectives on current issues and future prospects.

Businesses in Washington are the target of confusing solicitations from Corporate Records Service of Tumwater, also known as Labor Law Poster Service. Official-looking notices request that companies pay $100 to $125 to file their “Annual Minutes.”
