New hotel project set for SeaTac area

Seattle-based Ariel Development announced today its plan for construction of Hyatt Place at SeaTac to be built at 19518 International Boulevard in the City of SeaTac. Construction is set to begin before end of year.

According to the Travel Impacts report compiled by Dean Runyan Associates, visitor spending in four South King County communities increased by 5.8 percent from 2011 to 2012.

PCL selected to design and build South 200th Link light rail extension

The Sound Transit Board has approved a contract with PCL Civil Constructors Inc., to design and build the elevated station and guideway for the light rail extension from Sea-Tac Airport to South 200th Street.

The City of SeaTac has received the first overall municipality 5-Star EnviroStars Certification, which recognizes businesses for their environmentally friendly practices and policies.

AeroVironment wins contract for Electric Ground Support systems at airport

Port of Seattle has awarded AeroVironment Inc. a contract valued up to $8.8 million through 2014 to supply its PosiCharge electric Ground Support Equipment fast charge systems to the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
