Train tracks being inspected

Special railroad track inspectors will be reviewing train routes from the Tri-Cities to Vancouver, Washington, this week to make sure the deficiencies that might have cause the oil train derailment and fire in Mosier, Oreg., do not exist on the northern route.

New owner for Chehalis community

A national investment organization has paid $9.8 million to buy an independent living facility in Chehalis. In turn, Woodland Village was leased back to Village Concepts Retirement Communities and Marathon Development to operate for the next 15 years.
