Financial Executives of the Year is an annual program to honor the South Sound’s best senior-level financial officers for outstanding fiscal leadership and asset management. In today’s transforming economy, recommendations from chief financial executives are critical to business strategy, growth and success of any organization. Honorees are chosen through an independent judging process and not by quantity of nominations received. Honorees are profiled in a Special Business Examiner Media publication and recognized at an Awards Luncheon/Reception.

Honorees are the top financial executive of their company or divisional office (i.e., Chief  Financial Officer, Comptroller/Controller, V.P. Finance, Treasurer, etc.)  All employers must be located within South Sound (South King County/Kent through Pierce, Thurston and Mason counties.

▪ Private Companies
⁃ Small (under $5 million annual revenue)
⁃ Mid-Size & Large ($5 million and more annual revenue)
▪ Not-for-Profit Organization
▪ Government & Quasi-Government Organization

Behind the scenes of every successful business or other organization is a financial executive who helped the company get there.  While these key persons rarely get the proper recognition they deserve, our Financial Executives of the Year program does just that.  From small nonprofit groups to large private companies throughout the South Sound, this event is the opportunity to truly salute the significant ways that key financial executives help to bring success to their organizations and to our communities as a whole.
