Thurston County will be focus of State Transportation Commission meeting

Apr 14, 2011 - 01:23 PM
Local officials from Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater and Thurston County will share their transportation challenges and priorities with the Washington State Transportation Commission, which is meeting at Olympia City Hall on April 19 as part of its statewide public outreach effort.

The meeting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers, 601 4th Ave. East. The meeting is open to the public and anyone wishing to speak to the commission may do so during the public comment period scheduled for 4:30 p.m. The agenda features a series of short presentations and discussions about current successes and challenges, future plans and needs for transportation in Olympia and neighboring communities in Thurston County.

The Washington State Transportation Commission holds several local meetings throughout the state each year to gain insight from local government, industry and citizens about transportation issues that affect their communities and region.
