Evergreen gala raises nearly $1.1M to benefit Breast Health Center

Apr 30, 2012 - 08:52 AM

The Evergreen Healthcare Foundation raised nearly $1.1 million for Women's Health Services at Evergreen during its 11th annual gala.  The proceeds will support the organization's commitment to provide women with breakthrough technology, education, diagnosis and quality care.

With this year's donations, the organization seeks to complement its current services offered at the medical center's Breast Health Center with the addition of advanced 3D screening and diagnostic technology onboard its mobile mammography coach.

Proceeds from the 2011 Evergreen Gala funded the organization's first 3D mammography screening unit, also known as tomosynthesis, which made Evergreen the first King County medical center to provide the technology.  This year, Evergreen will increase the number of women who will benefit from the unit's diagnostic advantages.
