Kent center part of 'Amazon Jobs Day'

Aug 1, 2017 - 05:51 PM

Amazon’s Kent facility will welcome a flurry of job seekers tomorrow as part of the first ever “Amazon Jobs Day,” during which the Seattle-based e-commerce giant looks to fill more than 50,000 roles across its fulfillment centers nationwide.

More than 1,200 full- and part-time positions are available at Amazon’s Kent, DuPont and Sumner facilities, all up for grabs at the Kent event. Similar regional hiring events will be held tomorrow in Baltimore; Chattanooga, Tenn.; Etna, Ohio; Fall River, Mass.; Hebron, Ky.; Kenosha, Wisc.; Robbinsville, N.J.; Romeoville, Ill.; and Whitestown, Ind.

Amazon has indicated that, amidst informational sessions, candidate tours and onsite application processes, the company is “poised to make thousands of on-the-spot, benefitted offers to qualified candidates across the country in one day.”

All candidates are encouraged to dress comfortably (with appropriate closed-toe, flat heeled shoes) and with the necessary documentation required to complete an I-9 form.
