Pierce paramedic suspended by state

Aug 17, 2017 - 05:20 PM

Washington State Secretary of Health yesterday immediately suspended the credential of Pierce County paramedic Jeremy Aaron Johansen pending further legal action.

He is charged with diverting controlled substances (fentanyl and morphine) for his own use. Johansen has 20 days in which to respond to the charges and request a hearing.

DOH’s Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Systems is charged with protection and promotion of public health, safety and welfare by regulating the competency and quality of licensed emergency medical personnel.
