Top Place to Work: Better Business Bureau
South Sound BIZ magazine is announcing the 2017 South Sound Top Places to Work this week with a series of Facebook Live events, accompanied by CEO Lon Wilson of Albers & Company and ConnectHR, supporting sponsors of this recognition program.
Both finalists this year in the Non-Profit group are very vision-focused and Better Business Bureau Northwest ended up scoring very highly in its Employee Survey, as well as in comparison to all Employers being evaluated.
A “coaching culture” is active in the DuPont headquarters of this business organization that aims to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust. This coaching emphasis empowers leaders to develop their team’s strengths and coach on areas of improvement. Additionally, each employee is scheduled to meet with his/her manager once every week to check-in and hear feedback in a spirit of “no surprises.”
“The (workplace) environment as a whole is beyond amazing,” said one employee survey. “Our CEO does everything to be transparent and stays neutral.” Another added, “The culture at BBB is like no other. They promote a very flexible work/home balance, and treat everyone with care and compassion.”
“It is obvious that the management team and executive team truly care about us as people, not just employees,” offered another employee.
