Jul. 17, 2009 at 11:56am Charitable funding comes to WWEEWashington Women's Employment and Education received several grants in June, totaling $65,000. These funds will go toward services offered in Pierce and King counties that provide REACH Plus, the successful job training and skill building program. Recent funding came from Gottfried & Mary Fuchs Foundation ($15,000), the Frances C. Heidner Charitable Lead Trust of the Union Bank of California in partnership with The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation ($10,000), Harvest Foundation ($10,000), J. Jill Compassion Fund ($10,000), and Wells Fargo Foundation ($5,000). The service agency headquartered in Tacoma also received a general operating grant from Women's Funding Alliance ($10,000) in June. Additionally, WWEE received a grant from State Farm for $5,000 to fund the financial literacy components of the REACH Plus program. Comment on this story at BusinessExaminer.com.
