Top score earned by FW facility

Dec 27, 2016 - 05:01 PM

Village Green Retirement Campus in Federal Way has earned a deficiency-free state survey. This rating is the best score an assisted living community can receive in the state and throughout the country.

“Receiving a deficiency-free rating requires good communication among staff members, a shared vision of excellence, and dedication at every level to provide the highest quality of care and service to our residents,” says Lisa Valdes, the campus’ general manager.

Department of Social and Health Services conducts unannounced inspections at regular 12- to 18-month intervals.  The process includes a review of resident’s clinical records, thorough tour of the facility, and interviews with residents and staff to evaluate resident quality of care, quality of life, environmental services, dietary services, and fire safety.

Village Green serves seniors in both independent and assisted living facilities.
