Entrepreneurs remain positive for growth

Dec 6, 2017 - 04:35 PM

Nearly 70 percent of small businesses surveyed by SCORE, the volunteer group that mentors entrepreneurs and start-up businesses, report being optimistic about their expected growth going into the first half of 2018.

From those who are younger than 35 years of age, the bright outlook is even more enthusiastic, with 82 percent of millennial owners of companies say they are very or somewhat optimistic about the next six months.

As a group, small business owners surveyed have concerns over government policies that favor large businesses, some difficulty in access to capital, and proposed changes to the nation’s healthcare system.

Above any other issue, millennial business owners are most concerned about their ability to find and keep qualified workers.

You can see a summary of this latest survey in this infographic.
