Another acquisition for Kidder

Feb 21, 2017 - 04:50 PM

Kidder Mathews, a commercial real estate firm headquartered in Seattle with Tacoma native Jeff Lyon at the helm, announced today that it has acquired Costa Mesa, Calif.-based Alden Management Group.

Alden is a commercial property management firm with a large portfolio of office, industrial, and retail properties located throughout the greater Southern California market. It will be re-branded to Kidder Mathews in the coming weeks, and the Alden staff will be joining KM's property management division of 178 people and over 45 million square feet of managed properties.

“It was a great opportunity for both firms to grow,” said Kidder Mathews CEO Lyon.

Two weeks ago, the company publicly announced it will finalize a merger on March 1, 2017, with L.A.-based Heger Industrial, a brokerage and property management firm, making Kidder Mathews the largest independently owned commercial real estate firm on the West Coast with 20 locations, including 12 in California.

Over the past two years, Kidder Mathews has grown to over 650 professionals and staff. In addition to its Washington home base, Oregon, Nevada, California and Arizona have offices.
