Two Tacoma insurance firms announce merger

Jan 3, 2018 - 05:51 PM

Berg Andonian, Inc., has acquired fellow Tacoma firm Rapport Benefits Group, merging a pair of longtime South Sound brokerages.

Rapport co-principals Christina Cross and Chris Free announced the merger today, marking the move “a combination of two local firms that are very similar in culture and client focus, with market strengths that are complimentary and that will enable the combined firm to provide a broader set of services to [its clients].”

Berg Andonian, which has been operated by Joe Berg and Kirk Andonian since 1997, will absorb four staff members from Rapport while growing its footprint. The company also owns and operates a subsidiary company, RedQuote, Inc. that specializes in COBRA administration, billing and eligibility, HRA administration, Medicare plans and individual health insurance plans.

Rapport Benefits Group will transition its name and branding to Berg Andonian. Financial terms were not disclosed.
