City of Olympia offers downtown space

Jul 25, 2016 - 02:29 PM

The former Griswold Office building located at 308 4th Avenue E. in downtown Olympia is being offered by City Hall for redevelopment.

City of Olympia purchased the burned-out hulk recently to encourage removal of blight and encourage its redevelopment on this critical block in the downtown area. Its Request for Proposals is looking for a partner in a mixed-use project consistent with current and future plans for the area. It proposes to sell the land parcel to a selected developer and enter into an agreement for its redevelopment.

Details on the RFP are available on the Builders Exchange website www.bxwa.com beginning today and the submission deadline is Sept. 23rd.
