Congratulations to New Tacoma Awards winners
Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber has announced its New Tacoma Awards, which recognize businesses, organizations and individuals who make “outstanding contributions” to downtown Tacoma.
Award recipients were honored Friday at the Chamber Luncheon at the Pacific Grill Events Center.
Among those recognized were the Titus-Will Building and Rhein Haus Project, which was given the Ghilarducci Award recognizing new development, renovation or beautification; Brew Five Three, which was given the Public Places award recognizing the best activation of a public park, open space, or area in the public right-of-way; Stocklist, which was honored with the Schoenfeld Award for exemplary performance as a retailer or restauranteur; and Amy McBride, arts administrator at City of Tacoma, who received the Union Station award, recognizing a leading organization, company, or individual that has built or sustained momentum for revitalization.
The late Melanie Dressel, former CEO of Columbia Bank, was awarded posthumously with the Popham Award, which honors the individual that has done the most to build community spirit.
