New SBA advocate named
Richard Apollo Fuhriman, an attorney and political activist, has joined U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy as the small business advocate for federal Region 10.
In his new role, he will be the direct link between the region’s small business owners, state and local government agencies, state legislators, small business associations and the Office of Advocacy of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Region 10 covers Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
“His experience as an attorney and political activist will allow him to immediately start making meaningful contributions as the small business watchdog for unnecessary and overly burdensome regulations.” said Major Clark III, acting Chief Counsel for Advocacy.
Fuhriman worked most recently as a special assistant to the Secretary at United States Department of Commerce. He earlier has worked for United States Attorney’s Office, King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Citizens’ Alliance for Property Rights and Microsoft.
