Sunshine will bake the weekend ‘Taste’

Jun 23, 2017 - 02:31 PM

More than 40 restaurants and local vendors, plus 50-some hand craft and commercial goods vendors are set up in Tacoma’s Point Defiance for the annual weekend Taste of Tacoma feast-ival.

Local chefs will perform cooking demonstrations, while live music and other entertainment will fill four stages.  All for the low admission price of $0 – as in, Free. All main restaurant food items and combo plates will be $10 or under.

Event promoters also promise a local restaurant showcase to support Emergency Food Network, a Wine Bar and Craft Beer tastings.

With such warm weather, crowds could be very large, so Taste has arranged for free shuttle bus service from the Transit Center at Tacoma Community College.
