Housing Summit coming to Lacey

Mar 17, 2016 - 05:30 PM

The 2016 Housing Summit, presented by Olympia Master Builders and Thurston County Realtors, is coming to town next week.

The keynote speaker this year will be Michael Luis, former Medina Mayor and author of Century 21 City: Seattle’s Fifty Year Journey from World’s Fair to World Stage.

In addition, there will be a state legislative update on issues affecting the industry and two panels of industry experts. The topics for the panels will be “Trends, Sustainability, and Reality of the Housing Market in Thurston County,” moderated by Ron Thomas of Thomas Architecture Studio, and “The Effects of Regulation on Housing in Thurston County,” moderated by David Schaffert of the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce.

“The knowledge I gain at the Housing Summit each year helps me make good decisions for my business,” said Mike Auderer, 2016 OMB President. “Additionally, our elected officials have the opportunity to hear first-hand from local experts, builders, realtors, and other small business owners about the challenges facing the housing industry.”

The event will take place on Wednesday, March 23, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Lacey Community Center. For more information, click here.
