PSRC seeks public comment on Pierce County projects
Puget Sound Regional Council is seeking public comment on projects recommended to receive approximately $17.5 million for improvements across the four-county central Puget Sound region, including infrastructure projects in Pierce County.
Such recommendations include $1,017,325 for streetscape improvements in Pierce County; $2,201,474 for revitalization of Tacoma’s Brewery District; and $1,936,057 for ongoing construction of the Pipeline Trail in Tacoma.
PSRC's Transportation Alternatives Program uses Federal Highway Administration funds for community-based transportation improvements in the region, such as non-motorized facilities, historic preservation of transportation assets, environmental mitigation, and others.
Comments will be accepted through mail to PSRC or email at email@example.com. Written comments received by Jan. 4, 2018, will be reported to the Transportation Policy Board at its meeting on Jan. 11, at which time the board will make a final recommendation to the Executive Board.
The Executive Board is scheduled to approve the project recommendations on Jan. 25.
