PSRC seeks public comment on Pierce County projects

Puget Sound Regional Council is seeking public comment on projects recommended to receive approximately $17.5 million for improvements across the four-county central Puget Sound region, including infrastructure projects in Pierce County.

Such recommendations include $1,017,325 for streetscape improvements in Pierce County; $2,201,474 for revitalization of Tacoma’s Brewery District; and $1,936,057 for ongoing construction of the Pipeline Trail in Tacoma.

PSRC's Transportation Alternatives Program uses Federal Highway Administration funds for community-based transportation improvements in the region, such as non-motorized facilities, historic preservation of transportation assets, environmental mitigation, and others. 

Comments will be accepted through mail to PSRC or email at Written comments received by Jan. 4, 2018, will be reported to the Transportation Policy Board at its meeting on Jan. 11, at which time the board will make a final recommendation to the Executive Board.

The Executive Board is scheduled to approve the project recommendations on Jan. 25.
