Honorees and guests joined together at Foss Waterway Seaport Wednesday evening for 2017 "40 Under Forty" recognition and celebration event.

Around 300 co-workers, friends and family members of this year’s honorees in “40 Under Forty” gathered at Foss Waterway Seaport last evening to celebrate this year’s members being recognized.

In this 15th annual event, younger business, government, non-profit and community leaders were spotlighted for their individual accomplishments.

By coincidence, the 40 members of this year’s honorees are evenly divided between women and men, with the youngest of them being 27 and the oldest just one shy of 40 years old. And 34 of them are in their third decade.

Timberland Bank and Economic Development Council of Thurston County sponsored the 2017 program. A popular social hour included tastings from Tacoma’s Narrows Brewing, Top Rung Brewing out of Lacey and Lowercase Brewing from Georgetown, south Seattle.

Dane Gregory Meyer Photography provided these images from the celebration and there are more on the “40 Under Forty” event page at BE's Facebook page.
