Philanthropy to be recognized

Three organizations and the same number of individuals will be receiving Leadership in Philanthropy awards next week in Olympia.

South Sound Partners for Philanthropy has identified these community backers as important to the consortium of more than 40 non-profit organizations in the Capital area.

Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roasters will be featured for its Business Philanthropy. Dr. Robert & Lynn Brunton are receiving an award for their personal giving history.

Evergreen Christian Community is being recognized as a community organization that exemplifies philanthropic leadership. The award for Next Generation Philanthropists is going to Studio West Dance Guild and Valerie Gerst will receive the Paul Grudis Inspiration Award.

The 2017 awards luncheon will be next Thursday, Nov. 2, at 11:30 a.m. at Hotel RL. Reservations are available at this link.

South Sound Partners was formed in 2000 to promote philanthropic efforts in Thurston, Mason, Lewis, Grays Harbor and Pacific counties.
