America's Automotive Trust adds new CEO

Sep 26, 2017 - 04:08 PM

America’s Automotive Trust, headquartered in Tacoma, has made some changes to its leadership team, appointing David Madeira vice chairman of the board and naming Adam Langsbard as CEO.

Madeira had been president and CEO of America’s Car Museum since 2002, including overseeing the initial fundraising and construction of the facility. ACM is one of the four founding entities of America’s Automotive Trust, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving “America’s automotive heritage” and stewarding the vehicle collecting community.

"David's role as vice chairman will provide him a platform to focus on strategic planning and initiatives and work directly with me to continue the work he began from the very beginning of this institution," said Corry McFarland, AAT chairman.

As for Langsbard, he comes to AAT from the Petersen Automotive Museum, where he served as chief marketing officer. Prior to that, he served in various leadership capacities in the marketing and entertainment industries, including various posts at Sony Pictures, New Line Cinema, 20th Century Fox, as well as a stint with his own marketing agency.

In his new role, Langsbard will be responsible for the management of the four AAT entities.

"Adam comes to us with a successful and diverse track record of evolving and elevating many different types of enterprises," said McFarland. "He represents the foundation of a natural succession plan that, we're confident, will take AAT and its affiliates to new levels."
