Long-time Tacoma architect Peter T.S. Rasmussen is retiring from his firm, Architects Rasmussen Triebelhorn, a studio that he founded with the late Del Hobbs in 1974. Partner Rhonda Gillogly will take over as president and CEO of the firm that specializes in municipal and civic architecture, including public safety and criminal justice facilities. A former two-term city councilman, Rasmussen also was deputy mayor of Tacoma, as well as filling many other local civic and charitable roles, in addition to professional organizational involvements.

A familiar name in South Sound municipal circles will be joining City of Lacey in early October. Candice Bock will be the new Administrative Services Director for Thurston County’s second largest municipality. Most recently with Association of Washington Cities, she previously was an assistant city manager in Lakewood.

Nikhil Banerjee, M.D., has joined Digestive Health Specialists as a practicing gastroenterologist. A graduate of University of Utah medical school, he will practice in the Puyallup and Sunrise clinics.

Drew Coplin is the new director of retirement plans at Edgecombe & Coplin Wealth strategies LLC in Puyallup.
