Sep. 4, 2008 at 11:08am Accounting, IT hiring to be flatA net 1 percent of chief financial officers in the Puget Sound expect to add accounting and finance staff during the fourth quarter of 2008, according to a recent Robert Half International Financial Hiring Index. While 7 percent of executives surveyed plan to add staff during the quarter, another 6 percent anticipate reductions in personnel. The majority of respondents, 85 percent, foresee no change in hiring. The local results reflect a two-quarter rolling average based on interviews with 200 CFOs from a stratified random sample of companies in the area with 20 or more employees.
