Bates president announces resignation

Bates Technical College President David Borofsky announced that he will resign from his post effective Dec. 31, to pursue other opportunities. He has served as the college's president for the past five years.
Under Borofsky's leadership, Bates has reached higher enrollment numbers and graduated a record 1,250 students this past June.

"While change is never easy, we are committed to finding someone who will build on the foundation that Dr. Borofsky and the college has worked so hard to achieve," said Board of Trustees Chair Calvin Pearson.

Trustees plan to meet soon to determine the recruitment process to select Borofsky's successor.
