Blog Watch: Farm team

Tacomamama.com has a collection of items about the Richter Farm in Fife, which is set to be replaced by an American Fast Freight facility. The farm has a few more weeks before the harvest is ready, so leveling the land for development could mean lost revenue for the farm. It's a complicated story that became more so after the company posted a press release on its Web site that it had reached an agreement with the farmer. The post was removed hours later since negotiations are still underway.

The Association of Washington Business has an item about Washington being one of only three states to have a paid family leave program on its books. The business advocacy group hopes the Legislature reexamines the program since it is still not clear how it will be funded.

5views.com has a viewpoint about the role of tourism in the South Sound, particularly in Tacoma.

Ruston Home has an item about the Point Ruston development getting a greenlight to proceed with its plans.
