For the first time in a little more than a year, the Dow Jones Industrial Average index closed above the 10,000 level this afternoon.
Market analysts give credit to better than expected earnings reports from Intel, which has a research operation in the South Sound at DuPont, and JP Morgan Chase, an international financial institution that entered the Washington state market with its take-over of Washington Mutual.
