Aug. 27, 2008 at 11:18am Federal Way launches media campaignA campaign will soon start to attract new businesses to Federal Way through their relocation, expansion or establishment of satellite offices in the south King County city. "Federal Way: For Businesses on the Move," is funded through a public-private partnership involving the city's Economic Development Office, the Federal Way Chamber of Commerce, and local building owners and leasing agents. The campaign will include direct mail, advertisements, and other services, such as city tours and a database of available office buildings and facilities. "Launching this business campaign on Labor Day was a conscious choice," Economic Development Director Patrick Doherty said. "Our city has a lot to offer both executives and employees, and we think companies that are feeling the pinch of rising rents elsewhere should take a fresh look at Federal Way." The city is banking on its central Puget Sound location, competitive lease rates, a favorable tax environment, and a large pool of unemployed residents as reasons for businesses to locate Federal Way.
