Heavy holiday traffic expected on US 101

One-way, alternating traffic across the new Purdy Creek Bridge on U.S. 101 in Mason County is expected to cause significant delays during the Independence Day weekend.
During peak travel times through Sunday, crews will manually operate the temporary signal at this location to help lessen the backups. Still, drivers are advised to plan for delays or find an alternate route.

Alternating traffic on U.S. 101 and the closure of West Bourgault Road remains in place through mid- to late July to provide work area for crews rebuilding the Purdy Creek Bridge.
