Mar. 7, 2008 at 10:22am House passes Russell aid billThe state House of Representatives approved a bill yesterday that would forgive any state sales tax generated from construction spending for a new headquarters building for Russell Investments in Tacoma. The building, however, must be built within the city's empowerment zone that runs between Hill Top and the Thea Foss, and cost at least $30 million. A similar bill has already passed the Senate but must face another vote because of changed made by the House Finance Committee.
