Only 78 percent of all U.S. mammography centers have received the "All Items in Compliance" rating.

The FDA conducts annual reviews of all U.S. mammography facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards set forth by the 1992 Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA). The inspection covers standards in equipment performance and safety, technologist quality control, personnel qualifications, medical reports and medical outcome audits.

The Carol Milgard Breast Center in Tacoma is a collaborative facility founded by MultiCare Health System, the Franciscan Health System and TRA Medical Imaging and provides full service mammography screening and diagnostic services.
