Sep. 24, 2008 at 10:14am Mortgage rates remain flatMortgage rates have remained relatively flat during the past week, with rates for 30-year fixed mortgages increasing slightly to 5.78 percent, up from 5.77 percent the week prior, according to the Zillow Mortgage Rate Monitor. Mortgage rates for 15-year fixed and five to one adjustable rate mortgages have remained steady at 5.42 percent and 5.47 percent, respectively. Fixed rate 30-year mortgages are at 5.78 percent, up 0.2 percent from a week ago, although Washington home buyers will find their rate lower at 5.72 percent.
