Master Builders Association of Pierce County has announced that it has hired Dawn Michelle Schooler as its new office manager. Schooler comes from a background in the home building industry. She previously worked at Signature Custom Homes as an administrative assistant and as a mortgage assistant at First Horizon Home Loans.

Venture Bank has hired Danielle Chadwick as a customer service representative at its Lacey branch. It has also hired Anthony Graves as a operations mail room assistant in its DuPont location.

Barbara J. Fox, M.D., of University Place and a dermatologist with Cascade Eye & Skin Centers, is a finalist in the eighth biennial Pacific Northwest Quiltfest, set for Aug. 8, at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center. Her pieces, titled "Color Palette II" and "Sound Through the Shutter," will compete with 290 quilts and wearable art entries from the five northwestern states and the four western provinces of Canada. More than $40,000 in cash and major prizes, including top-of-the-line sewing machines, will be awarded to winners in 11 categories.
 
Kacie McKinney brings her radio promotion and journalism experience to JayRay as an assistant advisor. McKinney was on the team that brought more than 3,000 community members and 1,500 hospital employees and their families to Overlake Hospital Medical Center's South Tower grand opening. McKinney also worked with JayRay clients including Threshold Group, Experience Music Project, Jubilee at Hawks Prairie and King County International Airport. McKinney is a graduate of Western Washington University. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism-public relations with a concentration in social psychology.

Olympia Federal Savings has announced the following promotions: Bonnie Costa was named vice president and branch administrator; Sandy DiBernardo was named vice president and marketing director. Debra Jackson was promoted to vice president and lending manager; Bobbi Kerr was selected a vice president and Administrative Services manager and; Cindy Ramsfield was promoted to vice president and Operations manager.
