Providence seeking input from former patients to improve hospital policy

Providence Centralia or St. Peter hospitals are forming a Patient Advisory Council to allow patients and families to directly impact and influence the policies and practices that affect care and services.

Volunteers must be able to work at least two hours per month and commit to a two-year term.
Members of the council will serve on a focus group to evaluate patient teaching materials; provide input on hospitalwide issues such as policy changes, new construction, patient menus and special projects; and participate in discussions about best practices for hospital-acquired infection prevention and fall prevention.

For more information, contact Shalene Petrich at (360) 493-7550 by Sept. 20.
