The Washington State Commission on African American Affairs is hosting "Make Your Voice Heard: Advocacy Training for Real People" from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 24 at The Evergreen State College, 1210 6th Ave., Tacoma. Information will be available about the state legislature, local school boards and statewide education policy. Click here to register.

The Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber is hosting Good Morning! Power Networking Breakfast from 7:30 to 9 a.m. July 27 at La Quinta Inn & Suites Conference Center, 1425 E. 27th St. The cost is $12 for ambassadors/table hosts only, $15 for members prepaid by July 22, $20 for members after July 22, $25 for member walk-ins and $35 for non-member walk-ins. The Fife Milton Edgewood Chamber of Commerce is hosting an employer solutions seminar from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 27 at Rushforth Construction, 6021 12th St. E., Suite 100, Fife.  Sherry Murry of Kieranslist will discuss "Extreme Networking 101 – Facebook  For Business." The cost is $20 for members and their guests and $25 for non-members. The Centralia Downtown Association is hosting its fourth annual dinner meeting and silent auction at 6 p.m. July 28 at Pioneer West Nursery, 710 N. Tower. The event will feature a no-host wine bar by Heymann Whinery and an opportunity to splurge on a auction items donated by downtown businesses.
