Jun. 30, 2009 at 2:03pm South Sound topless club owners indictedThe owners and operators of Fox's topless dance club in Parkland are included in a criminal indictment released today by the U.S. Attorney for Western Washington in Seattle. Frank Colacurcio Sr., 92, and his son, Frank Colacurcio Jr., were named by a federal grand jury that alleges racketeering, money laundering and other offenses related to suspected prostitution at the entertainment firms specializing in strippers and dancers without clothes. Law enforcement officers earlier raided the club, along with several others in the region, collecting documents and other records. Today's charges seek to enforce $25 million in penalties, plus government taking of the real estate owned and occupied by exotic businesses allegedly controlled by the Colacurcio family. None of those named were arrested today, but will appear in court in late July. "Our trial team has interviewed more than 200 witnesses, reviewed thousands of pages of reports, transcripts of wire taps, and video surveillance of activities at the clubs," said U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Sullivan in a news release. "We look forward to proving the RICO conspiracy in court."
