Spring Fair sets record

Despite wind and rainy conditions on Saturday afternoon and evening, Puyallup Spring Fair crowds passed through the turnstiles in record numbers this past weekend.

A record-breaking 126,993 guests attended the 21st annual affair, surpassing last year's crowd by 8,436 persons.
Friday broke an attendance record compared with the same day in previous years, with 30,904 attendees. That day's Military Appreciation program also broke a record, with 5,077 members of the military community receiving free gate admission.

The 2010 Puyallup Fair is slated for Sept. 10-26 with a theme of "Free Your Glee."
