Aug. 30, 2010 at 1:09pm State disciplines health care providersThe Washington State Department of Health has taken disciplinary actions or withdrawn charges against the following health care providers. Pierce County In July, the Registered Counselor Program terminated the order of probation against Joetta Lynsette Abercrombie. In July, the Dental Commission charged dentist Himanshu Nigam with unprofessional conduct, alleging he knowingly cemented an ill-fitting crown onto a patient's tooth. Thurston County In July, the Nursing Assistant Program charged certified nursing assistant Amber-Lee Cotton with unprofessional conduct. She allegedly took about $30 from a patient without permission. In July, the Dental Commission charged dentist Curtis Claude Sapp with unprofessional conduct. He was convicted of hit and run — vehicle unattended, and driving under the influence on more than one occasion. In July, the Nursing Assistant Program charged Kyle A. Thomas with unprofessional conduct. He allegedly failed to comply with terms and conditions set against his license. Information about health care providers is on the agency website.
