UW Tacoma, Evergreen top choices for veterans

The University of Washington Tacoma and The Evergreen State College are among the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools offering opportunities and support for military veterans, according to the Military Friendly Schools list released today by G.I. Jobs.

Schools on the list range from state universities and private colleges to community colleges and trade schools. The common bond is their shared priority of recruiting students with military experience.
The Military Friendly Schools list is based on a poll of 7,000 schools nationwide. G.I. Jobs looked for colleges that offered the greatest opportunity, flexibility and overall experience for veterans and active-duty personnel. Criteria for making the list included efforts to recruit and retain military and veteran students, results in recruiting and retaining these students and academic accreditation.
