Aug. 12, 2010 at 8:30am Women’s Funding Alliance awards $357,500 in grantsWomen's Funding Alliance has awarded $357,500 to 21 Washington organizations focused on providing political, economic and social opportunities for women and girls. The grants, ranging from $2,000 to $25,000, bring the total community contribution of WFA to more than $5.5 million since the foundation's inception. Recipients who provide services in the South Sound include: • Breast Cancer Resource Center • Enterprise for Equity • Hilltop Artists • King County Sexual Assault Resource Center • Parents Organizing for Welfare and Economic Rights • Planned Parenthood of the Greater Northwest • Washington Women's Employment & Education • YWCA of Pierce County Plenty more in the Archives The comments function of the Business Examiner community is meant to encourage conversations and spark ideas about business issues in the South Sound.
