| Stephen Minor |
Creative Director |

Stephen Minor joined the
Business Examiner creative and design department in December 2008. As the
Creative Director, Stephen oversees brand integrity, marketing design and overall quality of BE publications. Stephen likes variety, so he enjoys all the different projects he gets to apply his creative skills to.
Stephen has a special connection to the Business Examiner because for a good portion of his work career he was like many of the BE readers, a small business owner. He finds the content within the BE fascinating, especially as it relates to his previous work experience.
Stephen moved to Washington in 1992 to pursue studies in Oceanography at University of Washington. However, his plans changed. He moved to Tacoma and managed Cicero's coffee house next to the Spar in Oldtown Tacoma. In 1994, he went on to own Northern Pacific Coffee Company-NPCC. During his NPCC years he developed an interest for graphic design out of necessity. Someone had to create marketing materials for the business, so he dove in and enjoyed it.
Stephen sold his business in 2004 and decided he wanted to be a graphic designer full time. He began his design career freelancing, but has also worked at Premier Media Group and Washington Employees State Credit Union.
When Stephen is not designing he can be found impersonating Bono in a U2 Tribute band called U277. The group plays regularly in Seattle and Tacoma and the occasional festival gig. Stephen appreciates pizza, chocolate, hoppy ales, Merlot and numerous television shows like The Office, Family Guy and The Simpson's. But what Stephen enjoys the most is having quality time with his young daughter, Emma, who loves to paint and draw with crayons. Like her father, Emma is also developing an interest in singing.
